"Hair doesn't make the woman, but good hair definitely helps."
Tresemme
Hello people,
One of the first posts in my blog was "Let `s talk about ... The Hair". It has also become the most successful and read post. Probably it is quite true that the mood of a woman is related to the good looks of her hair. One year later, I think it's time for the second post on this topic. And the reason for that is - for the past year I`ve tried many new products and I have found some new favorites. As always I will remain true to the tradition and I will share a recipe for a homemade product. So, stay tuned!
My new favorites are few. I`m starting with the shampoo.
Matrix Total Results Sleek Shampoo - Matrix Total Results Sleek Shampoo cleanses as it moisturises and smooths to help repair damage and control frizz with all day humidity protection. I am really happy with all the Matrix products I used. And this time the brand has not disappointed me. Okay, this shampoo is not something surprising, but it is treating my colored hair really good. Washes good, makes my hair soft and moisturized. Also the amount is great for the price. An excellent suggestion for colored hair.
Dr Wolff Plantur 39 Caffeine Shampoo - Product Description: Plantur 39 Caffein Shampoo *For hair over the age of 40 *Activates the roots during washing *Especially for fine, brittle hair Until menopause, a woman's hair roots are protected based on high levels of female hormones (estrogen). After menopause, these hormone levels will decline and the impact of male hormones will increase. The consequence: The hair will grow thinner, fall out prematurely, and the scalp will become visible. The Caffeine in this shampoo prevents the hormone-induced exhaustion of hair production. During hair washing, the active ingredient penetrates all the way into the hair follicle (detectable after 120 seconds residence time). This shampoo intentionally contains weakly dosed hair conditioning agents to ensure that your style retains its volume.
I`ve got the travel size of this shampoo because I'm getting some heavy spring hair loss, and because I was very curious to try it. I`m charmed by the shampoo and definitely plan to buy it in a full size. Great hair washing, makes it soft and gives a nice volume. I can`t determine however whether the shampoo helped to reduce the hair loss or some other of the few products I was using.
I will continue with a mask, which is my totally favorite right now -
Osmo Berber Oil Mask Restoration Therapy with Argan
- Unique combination of oils including Argan, Avocado and Olive.
- Replenishes elasticity and bounce.
- Leaves hair smooth and silky for ease of styling.
- Use individually for an indulgent experience or in collaboration with Berber Oil Shampoo for outstanding results.
- Helps strengthen and repair even the most fragile of locks.
I can write only positive things about this mask. Great smell, good density by placing it on the hair, great hydration. After putting it on, my hair is a bit more shiny and no more tangled tips.
For a finish I`m using Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence. Great product!
Anti-breakage, heat protecting conditioning spray for all hair types. Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence not only offers protection from daily environmental wear, such as UV rays and heated styling aids, but also instantly boosts your hair’s overall condition, manageability and shine.
After washing and drying I`m treating my hair with this spray. More often I leave my hair to dry itself, but the product can be used also as thermoprotector. Sometimes I use a styler and my hair really stands up very well. The spray gives the hair this extra shine and softness.
Undoubtedly the most popular product from Philip Kingsley is the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer was originally created by Philip Kingsley specifically for Audrey Hepburn, who wanted a super-moisturising treatment that would repair her hair and keep it in great condition throughout the frequent colouring and styling done to her hair on movie sets. This is a pre-shampoo intensive moisturising treatment that delivers elasticity, bounce and shine to hair. Also provides UV protection even after washing, helping prolong the life of colour treated hair. isible results from one application that improves with continued use. Fragrance free. Unfortunately the product is quite expensive. That`s why here is a good recipe for a "homemade" Elasticizer:
Castor oil + Glycerin + Almond oil + Liquid Vitamin A
(the amount depends on the density and length of the hair)
Hair is smeared along well without the roots. It is better to wrap in a towel and warm with a hairdryer. Then wash the hair with a good shampoo. Done!
And because I am struggling with a slight hair loss, and my post became too long I will leave the strengthening products I`m using, for my next post. So for those who are interested to check my blog, I will try to get the info up as soon as it is ready.
